Join us in this sacred time to renew, refresh, and recommit to your Self for Valentine’s Day. We have collaborated with our amazing teachers who will share teachings and practical advice throughout our time together. Everything presented at this retreat is an invitation to recharge your batteries, and renew your commitment to self love.

Valentine’s Day often comes with a lot of pressure and expectation, whether you are in a romantic relationship or not. We have been taught to continuously look outside of ourselves for the things we want in life, especially pure unconditional love. But until we become our own steady source of love, we will constantly be looking to someone else to give us the things that we’ve not yet been able to give to ourselves.

This Valentine’s Day, Verde is here to encourage you to put energy into the relationship that you have with yourself with our Self-Love Retreat! We are thrilled to deliver you a virtual self-love experience that will allow yourself to bask in the beautiful brilliance that is you and to treat yourself to all of the greatness that you long for and deserve.

It’s magical how when we start valuing ourselves fully, the people in our lives naturally start to show up in a different way by also recognizing our worth.

Session 1 | 9-10 am

+ From the Ground Up: Hatha Yoga and the Lower Chakras with Stella Lee ˇ

This workshop is an invitation to move in alignment with the spirit, starting from the ground up with the Muladhara and Svadhisthana - the root and sacral Chakras. The Chakra system offers a framework of understanding the relationships between anatomy, emotions, and energy. It can illuminate the mind-body connection and remind us of our innate desire as holistic, living beings to connect with nature and be at peace. The wellness of the lower chakras is imperative for the health of the upper chakras. This session will invite you to explore the experience of breath and discover the intimacy of connecting with the lower Chakras. Through guided journaling and a non-invasive yoga asana sequence designed to promote balance in the mind and body, we will explore ideas of belonging, nourishment, and intimacy with the self. It’s time to release shame and celebrate your infinite potential for creativity. The world needs your heart and power now more than ever

 
 
 
 

Session 2 | 10:30-11:30 am

+ Ignite Your Light: Illuminate the Path to a Life You Love with Ayurveda with Olga Steel ˇ

If you are feeling disconnected from yourself, allow Ayurveda to be your gateway back to love. Self-love takes physical shape when we practice self-care, and Ayurveda provides us with ancient, time-tested techniques for taking care of our minds, bodies, and spirits, living healthy lives, and loving ourselves. Olga, our studio manager and Ayurvedic Wellness Coach is excited to introduce this system of self-care and offer actionable steps to help you set the foundation for a lifestyle that revolves around self-love. When we take action in the direction of health and balance, we demonstrate to ourselves that we matter, and so does our well-being. Actions are a physical manifestation of love.

 

 

Session 3 | 12pm - 1pm

+ 8 Animals QiGong with Damian Saucedo ˇ

We all struggle with finding ourselves in life, and a big factor in that struggle is letting go of who we “think” we are. Damian, Verdes’ QiGong expert invites you to explore your true nature with this special offering. With roots in Chinese medicine, philosophy, and martial arts, qigong is practiced to cultivate and balance qi, the Chinese word for the body's energy. The idea behind the 8 Animal system is that by imitating the movements of animals, channeling their archetypes, and what they represent in us, we can get our connection back and keep our bodies healthy. The goal is to gain greater self understanding of our “dragon” aspect, which is made up of all the animals. The Chinese dragon is a mythical shape-shifting animal that can become anything and anyone it needs to be for the appropriate moment. We will explore together how we can be more like the dragon. No experience necessary, all ages and fitness levels will enjoy this class.

 

 

Session 4 | 2-3pm

+ Your Brain on Food: An Intro to Nutritional Psychology with Sarah Diamond ˇ

Join Sarah Diamond, our functional holistic nutritionist, on a deep dive into how the food you eat impacts your brain-- and what that means for your mental health. Your brain manages your breathing and heartbeat, all of your senses, all of your thoughts, your movements, and so much more all around the clock. It’s time to give it a little TLC! This workshop will provide suggestions and increase your understanding of how food impacts the brain and contributes to how you feel. We’ll boost awareness towards food choices supportive of mental health, and learn why eating to take care of your mental health is one of the most profound acts of self love you can practice.

Session 5 | 3:30-4:30pm

+ Activate Your Strength, Activate your Mind with Fire Element Yoga with Cristina Gonzalez ˇ

Designed to stoke your inner fire, burn down old beliefs, and cultivate love affirming strength and harmony, this workshop will guide you to the wild & wonderful world that resides within, with the help of the fire element. Through the tools of mindfulness, breathing and strengthening yoga poses, we will channel the fire element during our practice and taste it’s transformative process. When we experience our connection to the elements within us, we are able to deepen our sense of the relationship we have to all that’s around us as well. Fire represents heat, power, passion, and purification. Together we’ll explore what transformation means to you, and what you might find when you reach for a deeper understanding of self and inner strength.

 
 
 

Session 6 | 5-6pm

+ Shamanic Breath Work Ceremony + Journey with Crystal Dorado ˇ

This Self-Empowerment experience. will begin with a traditional Mesoamerican Copal smoke offering, followed by a guided breathwork practice and reflection. This experience is dedicated to helping participants remove obstacles from your life, inspires prosperity, longevity and happiness. Techniques used during this training will lead you to learn the power of breath, which leads to a deeper appreciation of life itself. Crystal will guide you through intentional techniques that open up pathways to rejuvenate cells and organs, while focusing the mind. Join us in learning how breathing can become not only a physical process, but a mental and spiritual one as well. This practice is best done laying down, so please bring a pillow, blanket and anything else you’ll need to feel comfortable and supported. Appropriate for All Levels.

Move for You: A Celebration of Self, Through Movement with special guest instructor, Monimia MacBeth

All retreat participants are invited to help us close out our event with a dynamic, fun experience to let your self love shine!

Led by Mimi, who brings together her cultural roots and professional experiences as a dance movement therapist into a fun class environment, movement and music will guide you through this self-indulgent, self-care celebration. Using therapeutic movement techniques that align the body, mind, and spirit, we will engage in a movement experience that encourages you to tap into your emotions and explore your creative process. Self-reflection will ground your journey, leaving you feeling integrated and connected to your higher self.

For this workshop you will need: Comfortable clothing to move in, journal or notebook, pen. Optional: markers, colored pencils.
